Nutriva CSR: Wheelchair Donation with Farmasi Murni
As part of Nutriva International’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Farmasi Murni recently carried out a wheelchair donation drive to support patients and welfare organisations in Batu Pahat. One of the beneficiaries, Puan Rozi Binti Mohd Aris from Parit Sulong, who suffers from heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure, is currently bedridden. She had applied for a wheelchair through the Batu Pahat Welfare Department. The wheelchair was personally delivered to her home by En. Razaie from the Batu Pahat Welfare Department, together with Ms. Janice Chong, Assistant Manager of Retail Operation at Farmasi Murni, to help ease the family’s daily care needs. In addition, Farmasi Murni also contributed two units of wheelchairs each to two local non-governmental organisations (NGOs) that actively serve the Batu Pahat community.
Pertubuhan Kebajikan Amal Ceria Batu Pahat, established in 2019, provides free medical equipment rentals such as hospital beds and wheelchairs to patients referred by Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail, Batu Pahat. The organisation also conducts home visits, free wound cleaning, and offers support and guidance to patient families. Ms. Sharon Tee, Chairman of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Amal Ceria Batu Pahat, received the wheelchairs from Ms. Janice Chong. Another two wheelchairs were donated to
Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ci Ai Batu Pahat, an active NGO established in 2018 that provides monthly basic necessities to underprivileged, sick, elderly, and low-income families regardless of race. Ms. Sharon Tan received the wheelchairs on behalf of the organisation. Through this initiative, Nutriva International and Farmasi Murni continue to uphold their commitment to community welfare by lending a helping hand to those in need and fostering compassion and care across all levels of society.
