As Chinese New Year approached, many of us looked forward to celebrating the season of reunion and prosperity with our loved ones. However, amid the festive preparations, Nutriva International Sdn. Bhd. and AM PM Pharmacy Malaysia chose to extend the spirit of giving to those in need by organising the CNY 2020 Thousand Prosperity Charity Dinner on 18th January 2020.

This meaningful event was held to celebrate the traditional festival with the less fortunate and to raise funds for 14 charity homes across Kulai, Johor. It was truly a night filled with warmth, gratitude, and community spirit.

We were deeply honoured by the presence of our distinguished guest, YB Alan Tee Boon Tsong, who delivered an inspiring opening speech, emphasizing the importance of giving back to the community, especially to the needy and underprivileged.

Guests were treated to seven courses of delicious vegetarian dishes, accompanied by wonderful performances throughout the evening. The night’s entertainment featured Mr. Simon from Fantastic Music and Mr. Liew, the Champion of All-Star Astro Global Singing Competition 2014, whose captivating voices brought much joy to the attendees. The highlight of the evening came with a stunning LED Dragon Dance performance by the Foo Chew Association, Johor Bahru, leaving the audience in awe.

Through the collective efforts of Nutriva International and AM PM Pharmacy, a total of RM40,432 was successfully raised and distributed among the 14 charity homes, with each home receiving RM2,888. Additionally, Nutriva International sponsored cookies during the event, which helped to raise another RM4,146 for Evercare, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to charity work in Johor.

The entire event’s expenses were fully sponsored by Nutriva International Sdn. Bhd. and AM PM Pharmacy Sdn. Bhd., ensuring that every contribution went directly to those in need. The celebration concluded with an exciting lucky draw and a joyful Chinese New Year song performance by the organisers and committee members, bringing the evening to a heartwarming close.
